The purpose of this assignment was to create an informational manual that could be used industrially to give cohesive, easily readable instructions to a group of students. The specific audience for this project was an industry, or a work place in which the media device could be use readily. Ideally the manual would be printed as a hand out and would be stapled on walls around a work place. In case anyone needs to refresh themselves of the information contained in these handouts or simple learn a new skill. The editing part of the project could be easily used by any movie maker within the workplace. These skills could be used to contour the movies that are being made into more cohesive pieces of art. The saving portion of iMovie can be used by anyone who is making any piece of art or creating a new art. The save feature is typically found in the same place in every different type of media, so if an individual masters iMovie's save feature they will likely be able to use it in any form of media. Importing media can definitely be used by movie makers as it connects the bridge between the filming of the media to be used, and the use of the media within iMovie.

I am very proud of the fact that I was able to make three cohesive hand outs that can be used in any work place. I was very anxious about the project as I was unsure I would be able to make a handout that can be easily read and used by anyone, however I believe that I did a good job on it. I have seen handouts before within work places and believe that my hand out can match up with these hand outs. One thing I wish I had time to further expand on is the visual pieces within the hand out. In order to make the hand outs easily readable I believe that more visuals would definitely have helped. The one thing I got stuck on within the project was being unable to think of the different features within iMovie that I could feature within the hand out. In order to compensate I believe that I made documents that were pertinent to the key features that anyone would need to use iMovie. If someone was to read these documents flat out, they would be able to use iMovie's basic features. I overcame this problem by planning and organizing my project into separate, distinctive parts that made it cohesive.

The technologies that I used for this assignment was Google Drive, Dropbox, iMovie, and Microsoft Word. They were the appropriate technologies that I needed in order to complete this project as I didn't need any new technology to make the hand outs. I had already known how to use most of these technologies, however I did not know how to edit the visuals that I was using in the project. I hope to be able to learn how to use iMovie in depth and create a movie as I have always had ambitions to be a movie maker. I would definitely use iMovie in order to create a movie for a project or to simply try my luck at being a film maker. One course outcome that I believe I worked towards in this assignment was being able to use key rhetorical concepts to analyze and compose a technical text. I found that I worked towards this course outcome when I was proofreading and editing my projects. Another course outcome that I worked towards was being able to critique and analyze different multimedia texts with technical content, I worked on this when I was proofreading two of my peer's essays and evaluating them for consistency and grammar. The last course outcome that I worked towards was being able to classify and attend to ethical responsibilities of technical writing by reading our assigned textbook and contouring my project accordingly. I tried to include all the correct grammar rules and writing tips in my project when I was rewriting it. One personal goal I worked on was being able to reflect on my writing and develop a new style of writing, which is technical writing. I did so by creating this manual and making it cohesive. I learned that I am a good technical writer, however I need to plan out my thoughts beforehand so I don't get overwhelmed. If I do so, I have the ability to create a great piece of technical writing.
