Within my Project #1, one function that I will be providing instructions for is the ability to import video from a cellular device. This cellular device could be either an iPhone or an Android, however the key feature would be to import a recently recorded video directly into iMovie. Within this function a visual will be very necessary, as the instructions would rely heavily on the reader's ability to locate the necessary parts of iMovie. I will also be providing instructions on how to name the movie that they are using, including the "save" feature, which allows the movie to be saved into any folder of choice. I will not be needing a visual for this, as the feature is elementary and is not too involved. The final feature I will be showing is how to edit the movie. This will need a visual as every step is very involved and can be hard to communicate across words.
Import a Movie: In order to import a movie I will have to explain how to connect the phone to the laptop or computer, and how to import a file from that device. This will likely include a visual graphic of every step of the process, as the process can be hard to communicate with words. In order to import the film, I will likely be needing to show how all the files from the phone will be accumulated into one spot within iMovie, which are then ready for editing.
Save Feature: This is likely the most important feature of the entire process, as the film that the video maker creates could be lost very easily with just one simple mistake. Thus, it is imperative that the film maker know how to save the film after every little alteration. I could use visuals for this step, however the save feature is rather simple and should not require a save feature.
Editing the Movie: In order to show how to edit the movies with ease, I will likely be using visuals. This will include combining several little movies into a cohesive unit. This will also likely include transitions and music; visuals will be needed wherever necessary.
